Ballet Folklorico Ritmo Alegre is a Southern Oregon dance group that teaches and performs regional folk dances of Mexico.
Dance classes are available for students ages 4 and up in our studio at
259 E Barnett Rd Spc. D Medford, OR 97501 (CLASS DETAILS).
Our dancers perform regularly in community events at festivals, parades, Weddings, Birthday Party, and schools.
OUR MISSION: To empower youth through dance and to serve as cultural ambassadors in our diverse community.
HISTORY: The group started as a high school club in 1994 at South Medford High School. In 2006, we became a community program, and in 2014 the group was approved as a federally recognized non-profit organization.
TODAY: Ballet Folklorico Ritmo Alegre performs 20-30 times a year in local events, including Oregon Shakespeare Festival Green Shows, and Britt Festival.
