About Ballet Folklorico Ritmo Alegre
Ballet Folklorico Ritmo Alegre is a Southern Oregon dance troupe that teaches and performs regional folk dances of Mexico to instill pride and create cutural bridges.
We are known for our authenticity, and we strive to validate Mexico's long and rich folk dance tradition in our choreography and costumes.
We regularly participate in workshops and conferences to increase our skills and repertoire.
We are also known for empowering youth. The purpose of the group has always been two-fold: to preserve and celebrate Mexican folk culture, and empower and celebrate the youth who are a community resource. Ballet Folklorico dancers are ambassadors to the Mexican/Latino community of Southern Oregon.
