Workshops and Conferences!
With 32 states in Mexico and nearly as many dance varieties, there is always plenty to learn. Advanced students will take workshops at regional conferences such as those put on by Danzantes Unidos (spring), or Asociación Nacional de Grupos Folklóricos (ANGF) (summer).
Students of Ballet Folklorico pursuing professionalism in folkloric dance, will consider attending the Amalia Hernandez School of Dance in Mexico City (Escuela del Ballet Folklórico de México de Amalia Hernández) during the summer (Usually a month between July and August).
Ballet Folklorico Ritmo Alegre often brings a folkloric teacher in for summer workshops. Be sure to check their Facebook page or ask to be on their mailing list to learn more about this affordable dance workshops.
